Donatas Gurevičius, who has been working at the Fire Protection and Rescue Department for 22 years, has experienced various aspects of this service up close. Having started as a firefighter-rescuer, he later undertook prevention and the organization of firefighting, and is now an adviser on communication issues for the department. This experience has allowed him to see how much is encompassed by a profession that is usually associated with putting out fires and rescuing people.
