Markus Soomets participated for the entire duration of the fixture as Kolding triumphed 2-1 against Vendsyssel on their home ground, securing their second victory of the Danish second-tier campaign. This outcome stretched Kolding’s undefeated streak to four games, coming on the heels of three consecutive draws.
The fixture marked Karl Marius Aksum’s second match serving as head coach and delivered his initial triumph since assuming leadership over the international break. Soomets, who entered as a substitute during the prior fixture, was reinstated into the starting formation.
As a result of the outcome, Kolding advanced two spots to occupy eighth place within the 12-team standings. Their record stands at two victories, six draws, and three defeats across 11 total matches. Their upcoming opponent is AB Copenhagen, who currently sits in fourth place.
Having signed with Kolding in August, Soomets has participated in every fixture starting from the fifth round, logging five appearances in the starting line-up alongside two substitute outings. Additionally, he has tallied one assist during this period.
