As early as next week, Minister of Finance Taurimas Valys will submit the 2027 state budget draft to the Seimas, prior to which it is expected to be approved by the Government on Friday. Although intensive planning of the country's public finances for the next year will begin in parliament in the coming weeks, it has transpired that the Minister of Finance, who has faced criticism for a lack of communication, had also planned a business trip to the US around the same time, but ultimately cancelled it.
