Gintra claimed their 25th Lithuanian women’s championship via a 3-0 home victory against Žalgiris during the 25th round of the Women’s A League. Khrystyna Pereviznyk opened the scoring for the home side in the 14th minute, being quickest to react after Elizabeth Mideva hit the post.
Earlier, Žalgiris created scoring threats as Irina Topal hit the crossbar and Marta Lipnickaitė fired over from a good position. Goalkeeper Aušrinė Bikutė maintained her team’s chances through multiple saves prior to halftime. Following the break, Lolita Žižytė missed an opportunity when her close-range shot lacked sufficient power.
Gintra extended their advantage in the 64th minute as Anni Hakasalo scored into the far corner following a feed from Pereviznyk. Meida Proscevičiūtė then sealed the match with a third goal in the 77th minute after Bikutė failed to secure a forward pass.
