Levadia prolongs agreement with head coach Zahovaiko following championship campaign

FCI Levadia has prolonged the contract of head coach Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko for an extra year following his guidance of the team to the Estonian championship. The organization captured its 12th league title with six matches left to play, having named Zahovaiko in December to take over from Curro Torres. Torres subsequently had a brief stint in Latvia managing Liepāja before purchasing his release and transferring to the Middle East.

Zahovaiko described the campaign as wonderful, noting that they accomplished their primary goal and captured the Estonian title through convincing displays. He expressed pride in the organization and thanked the players and personnel for their dedication and effort, emphasizing that the championship was a shared success.

Furthermore, Zahovaiko expressed appreciation to Levadia for their confidence, stating that the squad’s objectives include protecting the championship and advancing further in European competition. He added that they have established a solid base for the upcoming year and anticipate it with high enthusiasm.

The organization’s athletic division described the contract renewal as a logical progression, pointing to a common outlook and a drive for continuous advancement.
