The Council of Lithuanian Youth Organisations (LiJOT) has initiated a petition expressing support for and calling to approve universal conscription in Lithuania, thereby further strengthening the country's defense preparedness. According to the organisation, state security must be a shared commitment of society, with the opportunity to contribute to its strengthening accessible to as large a portion of citizens as possible.
