After the Seimas passed the first vote on a proposal to strike out the article of the Constitution prohibiting the deployment of nuclear weapons in Lithuania, Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius states that this is being done for deterrence purposes, rather than to escalate the conflict with Russia.
